Community Room (Irondale Public Library) Capacity: 75

Description

Please bear in mind the limited amount of parking spaces shared by event attendees and library patrons.

A separate auxiliary lot located between the library building and the dentist's office is available for large groups of event attendees.

The Library Community Room is a large meeting area with a projector, serving kitchen, and up to 32 tables and 100 chairs.

The Space must be requested by an adult member of the group with a valid Jefferson County library card at least a week ahead to be approved.

The person who registers for the room is responsible for ensuring all guidelines are followed, all garbage is removed, and the room is returned to its original state before the end of the allotted time.

The primary purpose of the Library Community Room is to serve the needs of Library-sponsored programs and services, and such functions will always have scheduling priority. After the Library, priority for use of the room will be given to the Friends of the Library, the City of Irondale and Irondale community groups and organizations whose goals are civic, educational and cultural. The Community Room may not be used for social gatherings, parties, banquets, wedding receptions, baby showers, etc.

Use of the room by commercial groups can only be for meetings or training and may not
be used to sell or promote their business or products. Commercial groups must pay a
room reservation fee (detailed on the application).

Each application will be reviewed, and the Library Board and Library Director reserve
the right to refuse a reservation to any individual or group who fails to meet these
guidelines.

The Library Board and Library Director reserve the right to withdraw a previously
approved Community Room reservation at any time with or without prior notice. If the
Board/Director withdraws a previously approved Community Room reservation, any
fees already paid will be returned.

Meetings may be held in the Library’s Community Room facilities between
the following hours on days the Library is open to the public:

• Reservations are available for up to 8 hours in one day on Monday-
Thursday:

    - Mondays & Thursday - 9:30am-6:30pm
    - Tuesdays & Wednesdays - 9:30am-5:30pm
• Reservations are available for up to 7 hours on Fridays and 5 hours
on Saturdays:
    - Fridays -9:30am-4:30pm
    - Saturdays - 10:30-3:30pm
